Anybody know who makes Jason Roy's bats? They look very good - mid-high middle and nice solid sound.

It's been posted on this forum inside the past week... get searching ;)

After watching him smash the aussies recently , my question would be does anyone know why Jason Roy isn't in the test side ?

Slazengers? Yes.
Specifically Jason Roy's bats? No.
Trigger movement discussion was all about his foot movement, not his bat.

First class record isn't all that strong? Probably more to the point, hasn't played enough first class cricket since nailing his spot down in the white ball to really make a case for test selection. Only played 5 last year for example, hasn't played any this year due to bench warming at the IPL. Also, he usually bats in the middle order in first class - not where the open spots have been in our test team. Maybe he'll get a shot if the neverending opener search gets more desperate and the selectors reeeeally want to wind up Rory Burns!

The search function here is worse than the Aussie one day side.

Pretty sure I posted a few pictures containing some of Jason Roy's bats last week... although the thread wasn't specifically on him and I may not have specifically called it out.

It's player not the bats! As we all know there are loads of places he could get amazing bats from. I get the impression that rhere is a bit of a Kippax thing among the Surrey boys, but I don't have that much evidence.
Jimmy Anderson was keen to emphasise how different Test cricket is to ODIs on the radio.

I noticed them, and assumed they were his given the lack of Slaz pros out there these days.

No websites show a side profile of the slazenger bats.. Not even the slazenger website. Dont think theres any retail shops stocking them in nz either. Guess buy 99£ one assume it has roy sharpie. On bottom

He talks about his bats in this video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E_g3w9q4Cj8 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E_g3w9q4Cj8)
The shape reminds me a bit of the Kippax Colossus with thinner shoulders.

Maybe as bad as a touring England Ashes side then.

Another twist, I thought the bats were made by Hawk and they recently responded to my email. They don't.

Might just be the way he bats, but his sticks do make an amazing sound, even compared to other pros.

Funny you say this I thought i was the only one that thought this. Very deep sound!

Undeniably!!!! I couldn't get over the fact that his bats sound so sweet hence the search (far and wide). Mystery was solved in another thread, check the link in this thread.
I have a Keeley (Newbery Blitz) that was handpicked by a forum sponsor. It makes an amazing sound!
I looked at pictures of Roy's bats in YouTube clips etc. and they have a very solid, thick square toe, low bow, thick edges and a consistent thickness high up in the bat. It looks close to Blitz shape but with a lower sweet spot. It is very possible that the bat width was sacrificed to allow for thick edges. My two cents.
