Title: New Aussie Kookaburra Patriot
Post by: Nmcgee on July 04, 2018, 04:59:21 AM
New stock hit the shelves today apparently. Decals look great and the profile is impressive. The rest of the Kooka range looked ordinary in my opinion.

Looks like the fever we have in the UK, both look awful for what my opinion is worth,

The Aussie Fever range I saw looked really poor. This was the pick of the bunch.

Which store @Nmcgee ? I've never really liked the Patriot in green as i thought it was too similar to the Kahuna, so don't mind this.
I was in Albion a yesterday and liked their early selection of GN and Kookaburra's.
I didn't mind a Kooka Ghost Pro Players (I'm a bit partial to the neutral colour schemes in recent times (whites, greys, chromes, charcoal) 2'9 ish, good clean timber, straight grains, didn't count but about 8-10 grains and a pretty full profile. Kooka seem to have gone back to a slightly thicker handle across their range, which i like.

The pick of the bats for me was probably a 2018/19 GN legend. However, the GN Handmade range have paddle pot sticks for handles again this year. Would need binding and three grips i reckon!

East Sydney mate. Colours look great across the range but I thought most bats were a bit underwhelming in shape.

The one in the photo was a low grade model. Looked and felt pretty good. Stickers are much better than the last Patriot. Softs hadn’t been taken out of the box yet.

I've been impressed by the kook bats so far, especially lower to mid models.

Did they change the aussie models to have round faces and oval handles across the range similar to UK ones?

I have not seen one in the flesh, but at that angle, it looks like the UK Fever 800 shape.

Send one over for review when you buy one @Nmcgee as I need to review more kooks. lol
