Title: Improvements in bat making techniques
Post by: Kulli on July 06, 2018, 06:45:13 AM
Inspired by Hoovers comments in the bat size restrictions thread about improved techniques being the biggest factor in bat response improvements I thought it might be fun to speculate on what manufacturers might be trying with their bats these days (not specifically Bradbury) or what they maybe could try.

I always read stuff about improved pressing techniques but am a little sceptical of the benefits of a 3 stage press etc, but my knowledge of the details of pressing is pretty thin.

@Hoover, if you'd be prepared to share the differences in technique and results and why the change between pro and standard bats would.be a very interesting read!
I don’t know how other makers derive there techniques but we use a lot of trial and error in our making. We actually call our sponsored players “lab rats “ ! Not trying to be clever at all but we won’t share our IP on this.

A good sprinkle of fairy dust always improves a bat.
