Title: Keeley Blitz Shape
Post by: InternalTraining on July 16, 2018, 02:27:18 PM
I am using an unstickered Keeley Blitz shaped bat. I just can't say enough good things about the bat. It has a unique shape, impeccable balance and the right blade length to generate amazing swing speed. The handle is very high quality and is on the stiff side, thin, with a oval shape at the bottom. I don't feel any recoil/shock in the handle from my hits even with a single grip.

Overall, it is a fun bat, like a sports car. :D

Let us know what you think of your Blitz.

Is this a Keeley made one then or just similar to that shape?  I am still using a Newbery that I still like but is a bit long in the tooth now despite taking care of it.
I guess I can just get a lower grade of willow to keep the cost reasonable but get similar performance?

It is a Keeley.

It is half heartwood so by some standards, it wouldn't qualify as G1. But I paid for performance...worth every penny. Posting pics is a pain in the back side, otherwise, I'd post some pics.

Don't worry about grading, get whichever Keeley meets your price point. Just ask for a pingy bat, uglier the better. :D

I have one near lemon Keeley which is very hard pressed but shows a lot of promise. Other than that, they have been consistently great bats!
