Title: Prescription glasses
Post by: gdb19 on July 18, 2018, 09:27:20 AM
I'd previously worn contact lenses for playing but having had an eye infection recently I've had to wear my glasses recently. I've done a bit better batting so I'm going to ditch the lenses and wear glasses to play in.

Does anyone have recommendations for where I can get fairly cheap glasses more of a sunglasses style as my current ones aren't that comfy. Ideally online so I can just feed in my current prescription.

My advice is don't prioritise inexpensiveness. Buy oakley crosslinks .

I’ve done the opposite, bat better in contacts but i think its for a few reasons:
1. After the first over i’m Usually already as red as a beet root and my glasses just steam up
2. I can not bat in glasses and a helmet..
3. I recently got toric contacts and they sit a lot better on the rugby balls that are my eyes....

I appreciate you can not wear your lenses at the moment but if you go back to them ask your optician if a toric lease would make a difference for you... if you have anything like a slight stigmatism of the eyeball they should.

I got my Oakley prescription glasses from eyewearbrands.com I tried some on in vision express and they would have been about £290, where as I plugged in my prescription and got them for 80 inc delivery within 7-10 days.

They are the barrelhouse half rim ones and stay on fine as I always wear mine when batting/fielding/eating tea!
