It is illegal for anyone other than Surridge to sell sports goods carrying SS branding in the European Union. There are various dodgy and grey market sellers out there who continue to do so, buy at your own risk.

I think the OP was referring to Sareen Sports (SS) stickers. They own the TON brand.

Sareen Sports were sued in the European Courts for trademark infringement by Surridge Sports. SS cannot be used by anyone other than Surridge in the EU. This is the reason the branding of Sareen Sports products was changed to TON in the UK.

How does eclispe manage to keep selling then ?

Purchased directly from India, then re-sold over here. The SS bats sold by Eclipse are manufactured for the Indian market, not intended for sale in the UK.
All it would take is for Surridge to take the legal route and Eclipse would be in all sorts of bother.
So long as people keep buying dodgy bats there'll be someone willing to sell them.

Guessing the SS bats sold by eclipse are not dodgy though

I'll reiterate...
The SS bats sold by Eclipse are manufactured for the Indian market, not intended for sale in the UK.

I get that he should not be selling them but guessing they are genuine bats :)
I do prefer ss stickers to Ton

Neon is completely right. They're legitimate bats produced by the same company - possibly some are even in the same profiles - but are stickered up for sale outside the EU - because to sell them in the EU officially would be a breach of Surridge's trademark.
Effectively the ones you buy at Eclipse are roughly equivalent to grey market imported goods.

Experience of SS bats generally . Up there generally speaking ?

Pretty much everything sold by eclipse is grey market goods.

“Pretty much everything”
Was simply curious about Salix haha. Always seemed like a good brand but put into the same context as selling SS stickered bats could have told me something about them which i had no idea about. Was a genuine question rather than being pedantic about the full range eclipse might be selling at any one point.
