Just watched the new video, and one question sprung to mind. You talk about how you grade your bats. You show a G1 and a G3. But you don’t sell G3’s do you? What do you do with them?

Also there’s no option between a standard or wavex handle either

I would 100% get a grade 3 with a proper oval handle if that was an option!
Supposedly the next video discusses handles.

I thought Kippax sold all 'grades' at the same price point. Are they saying something different now?

Kippax’ main business is as a willow supplier. Therefore there clefts are graded in a similar manner to most willow suppliers and then sold to customers/batmakers at the relevant price depending on grade.
When producing their own bats, I believe all bats are sold as “ Grade 1 “ .

we sell our bats on performance over grades but when it comes to selling clefts to India yes we have to grade every single cleft as for the handles all our bats are fitted with our trade mark wavex handle the only time we do any straights in on request.
-
@Kippax good video, I enjoyed watching it. The only thing I would say is that the background music was too loud at times and was drowning out the presenter who was explaining that current stage of the process. Well done, please keep the videos coming on YouTube. Thanks

@Kippax just out of interest, do your sponsored pro's tend to go for your Wavex handle, or a traditional one?
-
sorry about the sound we noticed that people playing the video on there phones found it harder to hear the talking but we will fix this for our next video
and all our pros use wavex and the other international players we make for have to use straight handles

Haven’t looked at it too closely but does this mean you feel all bats within one range are of equal performance?
-
not really sure i understand the question is it about the handles or about the performance of our bats ?

Performance. As far as I have seen there is only, for example, one grade of Collosus.
-
yes we only make one grade its called the players edition all our bats are pressed individually and made as if we are making them for our pros

Thanks for clarifying

Thanks for the videos, really enjoyed watching both parts and the music was apt.
Just curious, what is the reason for using the wavex handle over regular handle?
-
we will be doing a video this week on our wavex handle that should clear everything up for you.

Great, thanks. Always interested to see different perspectives and to learn the reasons for different designs..
