Post by: Charlie coulthard on August 31, 2018, 04:18:29 PM
Hey everybody, looking to start a cricket brand sooner or later and wondering where cricket brands like Gray Nicolls, kookaburra and gm get and customise there softs? Do they make their own or ship them over from India or somewhere.

Many many threads, at the risk of sounding like Commandant Lassard.  Are you looking for a particular style etc? Or just whom to contact to get samples made up?

Bit of advice, unless you've got a good 5/10k to burn I wouldn't even bother touching softs.

Start off by finding yourself a reliable bat maker and work on building a small brand on the bat side first. If it works then by all means crack on with softs but going all out to start with generally ends in pain for the majority of companies I've seen pop up over the past few years (which is a lot!).

Agreed. It may come as a shock but people are more willing to part money for a new bat over softs.

Speak to Champ Sports if you’re that desperate for softs, the quality isn’t up to scratch compared to others (imo) but it’s the best you’ll get without spending thousands as they seem to take small minimum orders from what I understand
