Title: Sunday 30th September - Leeds, West Yorkshire
Post by: Lumsden on September 24, 2018, 10:35:29 AM
If anyone fancies bring their team to Leeds (LS13 1NP) this coming Sunday, my friendly side is looking for an additional fixture. Forecast for the weekend is dry so we don't want to waste our Sunday afternoons watching repeats of Eastenders or worse still, visiting IKEA.

Format is usually 40 overs with a maximum of 8 overs per bowler although this can be reduced to 35 overs and 7 overs per bowler.

Good to see players/ clubs prepared to play as late as possible we used to play till the first  weekend in October  it seemed to bring the  nets and the next season around quicker.

Might just be me but I have always felt in the past that the cricket season always ended way too early. I especially remember Sunday afternoons in September thinking this is perfect cricket weather but the teams I played for never organised friendlies past the August Bank Holiday weekend.

Anyhow if anyone wants a match and simply wants to come on their own, still get in touch. With the league season over, we had 15-16 wanting to play last Saturday and after putting out an availability message on our WhatsApp group this morning, we might nearly have enough for an interclub game.
