Title: Suggestions for a cricket bat (shipped to Canada)
Post by: scuderia on November 01, 2018, 01:48:58 AM
Hi guys,

I'm looking to purchase a new cricket bat and have it shipped to Canada. Just wanted to see if you guys have any suggestions about what to get and where to order from.

I'm looking for something with a mid to low sweet spot, with a full profile (minimal concaving) and weighing around 2.9. My budget is around $250 CAD or roughly £150.

My last bat was a CA 15000 which lasted me around 5 years. Got it hand picked by someone from Pakistan and it was a belter. Unfortunately I don't have that contact anymore and I don't trust the local Pakistani dealers enough to purchase from them online.

Any suggestions would be highly appreciated!

Thanks

Hello Scuderia,

Welcome to CustomBats! I hope you enjoy your time here.

I reside in Toronto and to be very honest, I wouldn't suggest getting it shipped given your budget because shipping would be atleast $50.

You are better off buying it locally, there are few different vendors.

I hope this helps.

Hi @scuderia ,

Welcome to the forum.

With your budget in mind, the new GM range in the signature model should be doable at £150 including postage.

If you like the idea of that then  send me a message

From Pakistan, your best bet, in my opinion, is AS Sports.
I personally have years of excellent experience with them and their custom G1 bat is within your price range.

Send them a complete detail of your specs and let them quote you a price.
Usually it’s US$200 shipped.

Send an e-mail to Waqas Khalid

All the best!

Hello Fellow Canadian,

I have used Cricket Boutique and Talent Cricket for new bats. I have had excellent experience through them, but keep in mind that you will have to bear the Int'l postage plus the import fee which depends upon the cost of the bat. Roughly, with your budget it could be somewhere between CAD 50-60.

More recently, I got a used Alfred through eBay, excellent purchase for an almost near new bat. But then again you have to do some extensive homework (bit of a gamble) while doing shopping through eBay.

Try Red Ink Cricket as well, he gives a good package deal inclusive of shipping. Have heard good reviews about this fellow.

I couldn't agree more. I am working with John from Red Ink at the moment to get a couple of bats made and shipped to the US. He has been amazing in his patience with me. I am totally looking forward to the bats.
