Pretty massive difference between 'risk playing with' and 'risk paying for'. Mind you, it looks pretty decent to me.

Yeah if someone gave me one, made by Salix, I'd happily walk out with it. Would I buy one, with my own actual money? Nooope.

I wouldn't myself unless it was under 100 which it won't be. However the only storm damaged salix I had did lasted two seasons and was still going when a team mate bought it off me.
Two other storm damaged bats have broken within a couple of weeks, including a handpicked IJC one. One reason I'm not a fan of handpicking by retailers.
I got my salix direct from Andrew Kember and he explained very clearly the weakness in the bat when I bought it.
I think myself I would avoid any stress marks around the splice area, this tends to go 'in half' if it does break.
It's a gamble thou buying one of these. As long as you know when thinking of buying one then there's no surprises.

Great net bat for $0.

Do salix sell storm damaged at a discount price or will this end up as firewood?
-
I got quoted one of these for just under 200. Not thanks!

I enquired about this
Shame it’s a kids bat 😂

When you look back at the photo his hands do look rather massive when holding the cleft
-
As it’s a kids bat yes. Otherwise I probably wouldnt
-
Depends on the price and who's made it.
