Title: England Coaching Hard?

I don’t get this. Why is coaching England so much harder than any other country?

Is there a another country with 2 coaches?

Do England play that much more than the other countries (and if so, why)?

Or is it simply that Baylis isn’t up to it?

2 coaches? What about coaching staff?

I think we will see a rise in numbers in both coaches and staff for all teams. Why? Because of increasing competition and professionalism.

Crickets, whether it is (inter)national team level or pro-t-20 circuit, is heading to the way of rest of the professional sports, more money, more expectation, higher standards, and more coaches with a retinue of coaching staff.

Yes, England do play more. The season is divided between our season and the Antipodean season. England play all of them. No other country do.

I think it's a fairly tough gig.  High level of expectation despite cricket being a minority sport here.  Playing 12 months of the year living in hotel rooms.  The vested interests of the counties and a first class system not geared towards producing international players.  High level of media scrutiny.

I certainly don't see that it is a job anyone could hold down for more than a few years in post

Probably the two worst candidates are now favourites

Mickey Arthur’s been dumped by Pak and ottis Gibson has been dumped by SA

I rate Mickey Arthur!

Pakistan cricket is strife with politics. As a Pak fan, I think Pakistan had a good worldcup.. a few games here and there due to weather and things could have gone differently.
They ended up where they belong.

I think Pakistan will regret getting rid of Mickey. Mickey did a great job with players he had at his disposable and I as a Pakistan fan will miss him as I fear what crazy decisions will be made!

I would prefer to see Graham Ford get the role.
Chris Silverwood is the favourite.

Don't think Gillespie has had the desire to be involved in international cricket again

My money is on one of Arthur or Gibson

Sussex aren’t doing much in the CC so doubt Gillespie is top of the ECB’s list
