Just curious as to who actually spends money on sunglasses, i swear by oakleys and have just got my second pair. But many people have said what a waste of money it is. Personally i think it's not, i'll spend 20+ hours a weekend in them so they should be top notch, what do you guys think? These are my new pair to replace my radar red g30's.

Polarised Iridium juliettes and a pair of ducatti minutes are my two pairs....one end up in the car the other in the kit bag

Going to London next week to treat myself to some Flak Jackets or M-Frames, depends what takes my fancy. Its fair to say you cant be a spinner without a good set!
I do a fair bit of cycling so will use them for that too.

Ive got several pairs of Oakley's and I've worn them for around 17 years now and they are simply the best available, unfortunately due to the fact i now wear glasses all the time and no longer wear contact lenses so i have a pair of m frames which are new going cheap if anyone is interested let me know.
-

Just the black iridium, might get some polarized in time for the summer, is the colour on yours the same in the pic as it looks in real life? quite like it
-
you did well mine set me back £250 for one set and £140 for the others! but they have lasted me well as had them a while now...oakley quality assurance is worth paying for IMO Polarised lens are worth forkin out the extra for far less glare off of them

Mine? if so £140
-
I've got a pair of polarized square whisker's, black iridium. Got them for my birthday last year. They're great! Thinking of getting some M-Frames as well.
-
I have a pair of boots sunglasses that cost me £15 and do the trick. :)
-
Got the ol' BOGOF Woodworm glasses xD
-
I used the Chris Gayle style! £3 at Primark ;)
-
I've got Oakley Radars. Custom made cost me £200 with 2 sets of lenses.
-

i won some woodworm ones in an aoc goody bag
Result :)
-
indeed, only cheap ones but i will hardly ever wear them anyway!
-
Black and red with Woodworm in the top corner on one of the lenses?
-
correct!
-
I have those :D
Cheap but do a good enough job! I managed to see a ball nailed at me when I was at silly point without a helmet. Disappointed I dropped it at the time haha.
-
correct!
Haha :) Colesy did you request your WW's in Electric Blue ? ;)
-
stay away from silly mid-off, short leg etc. i learnt my lesson the hard way last year!
-
Lol, I wish. If black & electric blue combo isn't available then black and candy apple red is more than suitable ;)
-
Ian twas the first time I went in there, just to take this piss out of someone who I don't like lol, only took 3 balls to get him out from in there ;)

Oakleys are the best sunglasses by a distance.
Out of interest tom were yours done through the Oakley custom shop online?
I am
looking to invest in another pair for this year and I think they will come out at just over 200 pounds.

i couldnt justify spending over £20 on sunglasses!!
I thought the same but once you get some you cant go back to anything else. They just feel so well built and for me anyway all of those broken £20 sun glasses add up in the end ;)
-
Tom - ATGNOI!! ;)
I have a couple of pairs of Half Jacket HLI's which do the job - have several different lenses for them depending on the conditions. Having said that - I got them in the US when the $ was 2:1 with the pound and they were about £50 each... 8)
They don't seem to help me take catches though!!!!!
-
heres my beautys, only one brand for sunglasses!
-
iv no idea what ATGNOI means i must not be down with the in crowd nowadays! Yeah cheap if you could pick them up when the pound was stronger than the dollar but unfortunately not so much now.
Mr cricket sporting sum duccatti's as well i see...a mate has "borrowed" mine which was prob 9 months ago now so will have to try and retrive my minutes from him

Uhh there is different models at different prices available. If you get them from oakly direct they will take ages to come as they are from the US .
-
Ian that's the popular feeling about glasses, but if you think it logically you should spend more then a bat and pads, think you use them the whole time in the field, while waiting to bat and normally in the clubhouse after, so thats about 20 hours of use a weekend, whereas a bats tops 5 hours!
-
thats true for some people dan, but i personally hardly ever use them (the sun comes out about twice a season down here!)

My Oakleys took less than a week direct from them. and you said you can "You customize every lat detail for just £130 !" i am asking you which ones you mean for that price? to compare
-
my custom radars are immense well worth it
-
ATGNOI - I'm taking a punt but I reckon...All The Gear No Idea.
-
which lenses would you recommend, i got some fire iridiums just now , didn't really get on with the g30's i previously had, anyone used the green g26's? thats what i might get soon?
-
I have some GN pro performance, didn't want to spend big until I had worn glasses fielding for atleast a season. they were £25 and came with light enhancing lenses aswell. Once I finish my level one coaching I can get Oakleys cheaper
Watson will be PM'ing you shortly
-
I'd love a pair of Radars or M-Frames, can't afford it though. Nor justify spending that much.
-
I have got a pair or Pro M Frames (non bending type) in gold/brownish colour. Not sure what the lenses are, but I also have a set of yellow light enhancing lenses to go with them. All come in the large square Oakley box.
Looking to sell them as i have a new pair of Radars. If anyone is intersted please make me an offer.
Thanks

i no this is kind of illegal but what i did i went to eygpt and brought back 8 pairs of white radars in eygpt bought them for £3 and i sold them to a couple of freinds and team mates for £20 i made £136 pound profit although do wear glasses some times i got some kook ones last season.
-
Carn that's also highly irresponsible as cheap sunglasses like that do not have uv protection from the sun etc and could cause damage to the user.
-
corr you guys spend more on sunglasses than i do on bats!!

Just a warning to anyone looking to buy oakleys. i have had radars since the summer 09 now and i have taken them back once cos the paint on the frame was scrapping off. this has now happened again. so be careful when buying the Chrome White Frame. On the other hand they are so sexy ;) Lmao
