If this guy has good contacts there and the cash to buy in bulk it might work for him. The role of the traditional sports shop has changed a lot over recent times, handicapped by large retailers and sometimes bat makers themselves selling direct to the public, and big rents for premises.
There's nothing new here unless I'm missing something. Very much depends in today's market do you want to pick up and feel a bat before buying or happy for someone else to do that and just post it to you.

I don't think he's selling any cheaper than the likes of Talent Cricket or The Cricket Boutique, might as well just buy from a standard retailer where you have a little bit of comeback in the future.
-
True. Obviously they're gonna be decent bats knowing the brand, but as you say no major benefit. Good luck to him though.
-
In case you didn't know, he knows TK

So does everyone who works in the cricket industry.
Honestly would much rather recommend visiting Tim or Nick yourself and buying one direct

Ah here shows why the cricket specialists and industry in general struggles to sell goods at any consistent price.
Are they registered as a business? What happens if the bat breaks? Do you go back to him? Does he then send you back to the batmaker?
As I’ve said to many people who have asked me for peoples contact details or advice over the years....it’s easy to sell you first batch to your immediate friends/contacts it’s the next step when it comes to a larger outreach that’s when your real business work begins.
