A little while back, I picked up a part-made on eBay (thanks to @jamesisapayne ). If I remember correctly, it came from John @Red Ink Cricket - a nice colourful grade 2.
James had already started to make the bat, so the back had most of the shaping done, with some concaving - I did take some of the spine out near the splice and at the toe, then rounded it off. . I reshaped the shoulders and shaped the toe. I did 1 and a half bindings on the handle - the thread I got was really thin. The finishing could be better, but I’m pleased to get a made bat under my belt, even if I can’t take all the credit for it.

Measurements:
Edges = 34.7mm
Toe = 31mm (22.5mm at the edges)
Shoulders = 15mm
Spine = 52mm
Weight = 2lb 7.8oz
My plan was to sell this on - I generally use a 2lb 10oz and got a new one a couple of months ago - but I’m really enjoying the pickup and the whippy feel with a thin handle.

Cheers. Who knew Duplo could be so helpful - it makes a great iPad stand too.

Brilliant work Luke, really happy to see how you've finished it off :)
The finishing looks nice and smooth and I love how you've finished the toe area too.
As it's your first effort I would definitely keep it and use it. Something really rewarding about scoring runs with a bat you've made.
