Title: Bat Identification
Post by: LukeFramBurton on March 29, 2019, 08:58:12 PM
A few months ago, I bought a second hand bat from eBay (mainly) because I liked the specs of it. It is a short blade/longer handled bat, and the description said that it was custom made for a minor counties player. It came in-stickered.

Can anyone identify where it might have been made, based on these pictures? I can add more if needed.

Seems Pakistani for sure - I'd say MB.

Don't think it's mb as they don't make shorter blades, at least what I've seen and bought

Aren't typically all Pakistani bats 0.25-0.75 inches shorter?

Thanks for the help - I’m pretty clueless with spotting the different manufacturers - out of interest, what is it that makes it stand out as Pakistani made?

I would say, bowed, thicker edges and toes, if it's a top end it's handle will feel good and it's thread will done well high quality, otherwise thread and material used will not look clean, handles are not too thin, some of them will have like anti balancing handle tops,

AM used to have handles with red and normal cork/rubber.

You have a side view?

Good chance it could be made by AM.

Recently all the top end bats I've received from them have had the typical 3 plain cork handles. Previously they used to have the red spring in the middle. Since it's been used off Ebay it's probably a few years old... so possibly.

Ps what stickers are in there  now? You get it unstickered?

I think it probably is a few years old, so you may well be correct!

Yes, it came unstickered and, as I didn’t know what it was, I put my own stickers on there.
