Silly question time... what is the proper way to hold the Neon bat? This is my first L540 length bat and it seems like I should modify my hand position to hold the bat correctly. Any advice would be appreciated.

Nothing wrong with having a think about your grip and asking for suggestions. Pretty important part of batting IMHO. I know that I only realised recently that the way I always held it as a kid was a lot less than optimal and made some changes based on research.

Yes, you should always alter your grip according to what model of cricket bat you are using. And best check the weight and density too..

Enough. Bye.

The same distance from the top of the handle as on a normal bat, otherwise you'll end up with effectively a shorter bat.

Thanks for all the replies. I’ll experiment with the suggestions and try to not overthink it ;) I guess I just needed to make sure there wasn’t some “magic” trick with this bat :D

I don't like the short blade long handle combination for this reason. My hands simply didn't feel comfortable in any position on the handle

Same, i get the theory and that it works for some, but I just end up with a too short bat and a bit of extra handle getting in the way.
I guess some people locate their grip in relation to the top of the bat (and shorter blades work for them) and others in relation to the shoulders.
