Feel free to complete in the same constructive way I did...

(Are you aware of the 100? Yes. What are your views on the 100? Waste of time, effort and money.)

bah humbug you old man
its people like you that means we still play in whites on the weekends and use red balls....................
cricket needs to move forwards

I like the idea of trying out Franchise/City teams but does it really need to be 100 balls instead of a T20 format?
So from what I've heard and read this has been created to attract more non-cricketing type people to the game by making it fit into a shorter time but surely it is more likely to confuse newbies as to why we have all these different formats ie. 100 ball, 20 overs and 50 overs?
To me this 100 ball has purely been created to satisfy SKY and the BBC so the ECB can continue to cream their billions in Tv rights and all make a few quid.
I'm all for a new idea to help the game but can't they just be a bit more honest with their intentions?

When you middle a white ball it feel rubbish compared to middling a red ball.
Plus I haven't met a bowler who prefers a white ball...
-
that was fun, i wonder how much attention the ECB will give it though,
it certainly seemed geared up to working out there costing with only the once question to what you actually thought of it
-
'atmosphere - it will be like american sports' - oh my jesus, i was not against the idea until i read that.......
-
Think we need to embrace it. Everyone keeps pointing out the lack of players and clubs folding. Reality is if we dont try something different nothing is going to change.
T20 already exists and it didnt stop the slide. Big news is some cricket on traditional tele. Dont get me wrong i dont like t20 or the IPL. However, Ive entered our club into the trial 100 league, and no surprise all our guys under 24 are really excited.
Sadly i dont think it will go well for us with Birmingham League clubs and finals at Egdbaston but I am trying to get onboard.
-
My only issue with the concept is that its does not represent cricket being played elsewhere or on the international stage.
If as kid watches the 100, then tunes in to watch England, its going to be a bit jarring and may even put them off.

Survey doesn’t work on mobile?
Not exactly forward thinking that
-
Completed.
Absolutely no need for The Hundred. Just keep T20. Daft idea.
-
Royal London 50 over cup going to become a youth competition due to the senior players playing 100. It just gets better and better.

And what exactly is wearing whites to play cricket in? I wasn't aware that we were playing under floodlights.

And no overseas players allowed.

No, (No Swearing Please) that right off as well.
-
Not a very good survey. Just interested in getting a pricing structure that will enable them to charge the maximum price without putting people off going.
-
I particularly enjoyed the bit where my attendance at museums or the theate was seen as relevant, but not whether I might consider attending a test match!
On the bright side, the ECB survey department have finally cottoned on to the idea that Bristol exists, so nice to not have to debate whether I live in Somerset or Gloucestershire. Still can't quite come to terms with just how much the 100 pisses me off though.
-
Apparently they have downgraded the 50over competition to a development competition from next season.
Absolutely mental.
-
Might as well have the courage of their convictions and just bin the 50 over stuff off to be honest. Kevin Pietersen's irony detector must be worn out by now!

There are a fair few of us!

Developmemt for what?
-
Why not just an English IPL. Stump up some Sky prize money. Get the regional rivalry going. That would fly.

Sport does not exist for the purpose of making money.
-
I'll have a free bat then - anyone up for making me one?

I think you missed the memo. But I reckon since the mid 80s sport has changed and elite sport is for the sole purpose of making money whether that be as an athlete or business exploiting the consumer!

What?
-
This is the kind of stupidity we're up against. :o
-
@Bats_Entertainment what are you on about mate?
-
"I'll have a free bat."
-
Sport does not exist for the purpose of making money.
But it does now.. it’s quite literally all about the money

Can only be completed on a laptop/desktop... that’s half the generation they are interested in out of completing it out then.

No, if you change the setting on your phone browser to desktop page you can use your phone.

Utter waste of time.
If they really wanted to bring cricket to the masses they would
redraw the first class map with the aim to raise standards by having fewer but more evenly distributed counties
make travelling less of an issue for limited overs games.
Get most of the cricket off sky.
Invest in grass roots cricket and stop throwing money at the cc, letting counties invest in Kolpaks
When another 10% of cricketers stop playing despite all their BS they might listen.
Not bitter lol
