Title: Spiked trainers
Post by: Charlie coulthard on April 20, 2019, 06:50:41 PM
Does anyone have any recommendations for half spiked batting shoes. I would like to get a pair of trainers spiked for the season and don’t know what trainers to buy. Does anyone have a pair they could suggest?

I'd suggest looking at tennis shoes, still nice and light but tend to be a bit more hard-wearing than runners so ideal for cricket.

I've had a few pairs done over the years, most recently a pair of Adidas Energy Boosts - have always liked them at first then found myself feeling a bit unresponsive when batting in them so reverted back to usual spikes, probably all in my head and wanting more kit as part of the forum...

I havent tried it but if you could stretch to a pair of Adidas Ultra Boost and then the spiking I dont think you would find much better, not much protection for the toes mind  :)
