This is a quick look at a Chase Volante R11 with retro stickers that I had bought directly from Chase late last year. It looks beautiful with 11 straight grains. Weight is 2.8. Edges are not big but who cares. I wanted a traditional profile bat anyway. The bat face is not flat and the sweet spot is mid-low. Both Adam and Dan at Chase were good with their communication. The bat arrived in time. The handle is a lovely oval, probably a little towards the more side. I have put up another White Chevron on this one too as I like my handle to feel thick ;)
Pick up is nice with the weight being light anyway. It came pre-prepared as they normally come from Chase. However, it still needs a fair bit of knocking-in as the sound off the mallet and ball is still metallic/high pitched at places. I have used it in 4 net sessions so far. The ping is great already though so I am waiting for the day when it becomes all knocked-up :D
