Returning to village cricket this summer and need a new bat. I'm SH.
Thanks a lot

GM Signature range, best bang for your buck by far
Loads of members rave about the quality and response for around 120gbp
Hit up @Six Sixes Cricket or any of the other sponsors for more info

I've had very good GMs for around £100 before. But really best advice is to go into a shop and just see what feels good/looks decent quality.
-
thanks for the feedback I'll definitely have a look into GM. When I was younger I used to like the Woodworm bats (mainly because of KP) however I've read that they're not very high quality even their "premier" bats. Is this the case?
Thanks again

GM or Kookaburra are great value and great bats. Personally I will go for kookaburra for having slightly thicker toe than GM. Only reason I wont buy GM is that I dont like their thin toes.
-
Any of the forum sponsors or bat. Makers will give you a Great bat.
Rob @Six Sixes Cricket always has a great selection and really happy to help. Red ink makes from scratch and I think a custom bat can be made for very close to your budget as well
-
Best performing bat within your budget is Blank Bats net bat, if they are still available. And you will have change
-
Newbery Phantom range is worth a look in this price range.

From what I've read online their quality isn't the best?

I think that is a cheap Kashmir bat, looking at the willow colour and 2 spring handle. Also even if its English willow will. Be quiote a few years old now and more than likely will be quite dead performance wise.
If you want cheap and nothing else MSR on eBay have some cheap blemished English willow bats that always play quite well from experience
-
No - I’ve had 2 MSR’s and both were planks.
A GM signature is a good shout.
The woodworm looks Kashmir.
If you are keen on a woodworm, original Ones pop up regularly on eBay so just keep looking. Thanks

That’s being sold by whispering death on here. As it says, good condition but may need more knocking in.
You could certainly do a lot worse.
Though £55 for a new gm 606 on Amazon is a very good deal.

I treated myself to this from Prodirect. £75 and it's lovely! only a G3 but it's great, I love it and you'll have change and then some!

Those look like fake stickers...
Genuine Woodworm stickers had the model number separate. Most brands do that as it reduces the variations needed for printing, I'd definitely steer clear.

Oh really. I'm not the most clued up on bats- where's the model number on the globe i posted?
Thanks a lot
-
Sorry, Premier was the model name. Should be a separate sticker

I recently picked up a Kook Ghost Obscene from It's Just Cricket. £119 and 2lb 10ozs. Grade 5 willow but brilliant value for money and performs very well.
Benefit of having It's Just Cricket handpicking I'm sure ;)
-
Another vote for GM signature or even a 606.
-
What's a village cricket? Does it have different playing rules or conditions?
-
Local/Amateur level English cricket.

Have you used this bat before?
Thanks
I got one in the winter and have just started using it. Managed to get 50% off in the winter sale but still a cracking bat even at RRP.
-
Activeinstinct still have some 606 grade SH's on their site, I picked up a GM Chrome 606 for £55 and got lucky.
-
I’m sure you could pick up a custom butterfly bat for £130 somewhere. Inexpensive clefts to purchase.
