Title: Can someone help? Old style Newbery Uzi handle
Post by: ch1p on June 06, 2019, 09:43:31 PM
Hi All,

Today i've asked for a B3 short blade long handle to be made for me and i've asked for a normal oval handle - I got talking to the guys there and mentioned that my favourite shape handle ive ever used was on the old style Newbery Uzi (Long handle / shorter blade version from around 2009) there great customer service means that they will be doing their best to replicate it but before it was fitted and shaped i was wondering....

Does anyone on the forum have an old Uzi? It was one of the BMF 50mm edge sticker version and would they be able to measure the handle dimensions for me so I can have B3 replicate it exactly? It would be a huge help  :)

I'm not sure if all Newbery's of that era had the same oval handle shape but it just felt so right... I actually sold the bat on eBay (Green grip with Kookaburra stickers on) just in case its fate and someone on here bought it.

Many thanks in advance!

@Butterfingerz thanks for the great service today!

If that's the one with the banned handle then it may never feel quite the same as the original. Same shape but the feel/ pickup  may be different.

Can you post a pick of the top of the handle please?

It was just the normal / non carbon model. I was going more for the shape as I remember liking it.

I think it got called the fishtail handle for marketing - pretty sure it was a thinnish oval.

The best image of it I can find is available at this link - http://www.cricketrepublic.co.uk/newbery-uzi-players.html (http://www.cricketrepublic.co.uk/newbery-uzi-players.html)
