Title: What's your budget?
Post by: WABH-J on June 27, 2019, 07:02:12 PM
Hi all,

As I'm in the process of buying a new bat I'm interested to know what people would usually spend to get what they feel is a decent stick. I think I'm trying to limit myself to about £200 but that's still more than I've ever spent on a bat - I think previously the most I've spent has been £120 but I'm disappointed with what I got. Obviously selection plays a big part but I'm interested in where people cap themselves.
TIA

You can get an absolute trampoline for the price range of USD 200-400 if you know the right people. :D

I've never gone above 250 GBP.

Think the most I've spent is 245 GBP on a JEDi custom made for me by James which was beautiful but I gave away to a team member for personal reasons...  :)

Always worked within a budget... but being 41 years old.. I dont know how many bats I've got left to purchase.. currently both my bats cost me just over 200 GBP.

However tempted to go for one final treat but could be a few seasons away.   Will be one of:

GM OLE
B3 Custom
Salix
Keeley

Pretty much keep flipping between those 4 for my next bat but got plenty of time to mull over it... spoil myself one last time with silly money...

Else common sense tells me to look out for some amazing bargains in the for sale section on here...

Head vs heart    :)

At the moment it's one of those things where you set yourself a budget, then end up eyeing the one that's about 20% more...then when you've got your head around that you start eyeing up the one that' slightly more than that and all of a sudden your original budget is completely lost!

I meant a bat that pings like a trampoline. :)

A team mate has a Solitaire but with a green version. They are, without doubt, the most hideous stickers I've ever seen. They look bad in the picture, but are even worse in the flesh! 🤢

I think for £200 or just over you can get a very very good bat.
