I wouldn’t believe it. All players bat go to their sponsors to get stickered. Are you telling me HS didn’t remove this handle sticker?
-
Plenty of players carry sponsors stickers and apply them to new bats themselves

Exactly. Players carry stickers and stamps on them

Not Pakistani players. I have seen pictures and know some owners who require their players to bring in their bats for stickers. Shoaib Malik is one of them..

Interesting.
Aren't SS bats over-dried like other Asian brands?
-
Not surprising...

Malik owners walking about with sticker sheets with Pakistan squad... not sure exactly what is going on... interesting...

Ps if you look carefully Hafeez has a HS bat cover...I think ;)

My friend has 6/7 years old SS smasher. He does hit massive sixes with it. He is quite strong guy so not sure if it's bat or him.
That bat is not over dried otherwise it wouldn't have lasted this long.

I have seen many pictures of MB owner applying stickers himself.

I know for Pakistani players, the people who have SS/TK bats they take to players who then buy those bats from them and then sticker themselves.

Good hundred for Babar last night, not sure whose bat he was using, I know he likes a Keeley, but this looks a beast. About 4 or 5 wide wobly grains and a pin knot!

Definitely a Keeley bat.
-
Johny Bairstow is using a SS bat. Look closely on the edges, there is that S.
-
Yep I have it on very good authority that it is indeed a TK bat and “borrowed” 😂
-
The bat even has some blueish stains on the back. Is there a name for this imperfection? - https://media.gettyimages.com/photos/babar-azam-of-somerset-celebrates-after-reaching-his-century-during-picture-id1272851415?s=2048x2048

Sticker residue

I wouldn’t be surprised if these pros have bats from different makers. They handpicked from the best everywhere they go..
I have babar Azam bat from keeley which came from babar Azam last year WC batch then I have exact shape by SS said to be made for BA. Both of them are beast. Their ping and feel are unreal

Bairstow loves SS. Whenever England last toured Bangladesh is when I first remember his using them.

What's the weight?

Surprised GN allow this as I heard they were extremely strict on players using GN bats as part of the contract

We two grips, scuff and edge tapes 2.11. The response on those are unbelievable.

Zoom in on his edge in this photo... No GN branding but what looks suspiciously like an SS 'S'.

I fail to understand why a player would do that to be honest. As a regular guy watching cricket, all I would see is that Bairstow is playing with a GN bat and Babar is using an HS bat. 90% of the audience will only see that and wont really bother spotting a sticker on top of a handle for e.g. How would that be sneaky marketing?
I do remember in the past Indian batsmen use to play with stickers of automobile companies etc and the bat would have the TON or SG branding burnt on the edges which was an obvious giveaway. But dont think there is any chance of doing that these days.

Blade looks shorter than normal...and, above all else, what a nice, big bow!!! Johnny, you rock bruh!!!

Probably a 2-9 bat with single grip and no extras. Not a lot of wood then.

Not sure it’s done on purpose tbh. Just laziness or knowledge that 99% of viewers won’t even see it nevermind care.

This is a player bat so it is a big bat

I don't think they care. This is something I had noticed sometime back.
