Hey guys
New member here. Trying to get back into cricket after a 10 year break away from the game. Im a wicket keeper batsman and wanted to ask which type of cricket shoes to buy please. Whats the purpose behind having full or half spikes? I have also seen Adidas and Puma have a cricket shoe which has little spikes made from rubber. Puma claim they can be used on any pitch - is that true?

This is the adidas shoe: http://m.morrant.com/cricket_shoes/adidas_adizero_sl22_boost_cricket_shoes/165373_p.html (http://m.morrant.com/cricket_shoes/adidas_adizero_sl22_boost_cricket_shoes/165373_p.html)
And this is the puma one that 'can be used for matches as well as for training on firm ground, artificial wickets or at indoor nets':

Boost shoes are very comfy!
But buy from pro cricket out @Ayrtek Cricket for better prices.

I can check stock if u let me know what size you’re after 👍

I've gone adidias this year and also bought my boosts off Ayrtek! I also have a pair of SL22 spikes.
Depending on the mood I typically field in the spikes and bat in the boosts... I know people do opposite but I feel I always get bogged down with spikes when I bat... I like batting in the boosts.
Although I am liking the Pumas an NBs too. I think there are some great options out there and you won't go wrong with any of the big footwear bands. Try on a few and go with what suits you!

I tried fielding in the Pumas with rubber spikes and ended up flat on my back in the middle, much to team's amusement. So, recommend metal spikes for all but the first conditions...

I’ve used boosts for everything since the beginning of last season and haven’t had a problem with them in any condition

Hi mate, do you sell Adidas stuff then? Can I use the boost shoes on grass, turf and nets too?

I use the Boosts, love em! Have almost slipped a few times when turning quickly but no real issues. They're light and comfortable. You could probably use em on astro but I wouldn't say they're ideal for it. The 'spikes' at he bottom are hard plastic. Great shoes though!
