Title: Harrow size bat..any recommendations?
Post by: ashok2621 on August 08, 2019, 08:16:27 PM
Hi
I am looking to buy a harrow size bat for my 13+ year old son.
Somebody recommended me that Grey nicholls legend bat is the best in harrow size. Found it online at around 250 pound. Can someone recommends the similar quality in bit lesser price. Son thinks that its lot of money for his age. He is in terrific form.Averaged 83 in his dsitrict under 13 matches.  I want to convert those one bounce boundaries into sixes next time. This time, he played with a 25 quid unbranded bat purchased from Meerut India. Now, seeing his potential, i don't want to take chance.
Please advise...

cheers
Ash

I will recommend GM. Recently bought one Diamond for friend's kid that is great bat. Today my Noir arrived in Harrow size and I am well impressed. Both are very different shapes and pick up so take your son to shop to feel which he likes most and job done.

Maybe @Six Sixes Cricket got some in stock

I like B3 options as you can customize the shape of the bat to your son liking. I see lots of young fellows using B3 and ball travels.

GM Diamond has multiple bats. Any idea which one of that in Diamond as well as in Noir.

thanks in advance

Diamond has full profile with high/mid swell therefore feels light and well balanced.
Noir has low swell with concave back with big edges and feels heavier than its weight thats what i liked about it. Personally beside being light it feels solid in hands.

Having been in a similar situation to yourself recently I messaged the forum sponsors and got a great deal on a Harrow from @Ayrtek Cricket. the bat is an absolute rocket!
