Title: Cricket bat grip (Poll)
Post by: Dogman713 on August 27, 2019, 08:54:41 PM
I’ve personally always used the Octopus grip, purely because I find that the other types of grip feel less stable. I’ve added some image of types of grips. Feel free to add others that I’ve missed. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/e6yobcxbehecj08/AAD1IuXPekha-5FVaaWVcuG8a?dl=0 (https://www.dropbox.com/sh/e6yobcxbehecj08/AAD1IuXPekha-5FVaaWVcuG8a?dl=0)

Octopus for me too.  They wear out quickly and are hard wearing on the gloves too but I seem to have the optimum balance between feeling in control of the bat without holding it too tightly

Has to be a white chevron.
Anything else is simply wrong...

I have tried octopus and the octo/scale variants but I don't like the way that they squirm in your hands, so you grip the bat tighter which causes premature wear on the grip.
Thick chevron or Salix hybrid are my favourites but I can't get the Salix grips in Australia and the import costs are prohibitive.
