Title: Does anyone remember Armie?I think
Post by: Yorkershire on September 07, 2019, 08:39:11 PM: I think that was his name.. he was on cs forum and this one.. used to sell a lot MB Malik bats ... I remember a period where everyone was buying Bubber Shers off him...

Just chatting to someone today and was wondering what happened to him?

I remember another guy even before him - BASIL? (I remember thinking at the time its a v unusual name for a pakistani bloke to have).

Like many Pakistani/Indian residents it's nice little side business as there are many fakes. So if you can demonstrate you are a good trustworthy source... I'm sure he did well out of it as did his customers... win all round I guess... Even though I have family in pakistan they arent into cricket and I wouldn't trust them to get me a bat as they may get scammed just as easily...

That's where someone like Armie would be useful...

PS I dont need a bat (happy with my GM) and am likely to in Pakistan myself next April time...
