Title: GM 2020
Post by: Stumps on September 26, 2019, 03:53:58 PM
Hello everyone first post here. I joined recently having used the wealth of information on this  forum for years,so i thought it's about time. I'm no cricket expert more of a fan than a player with  38 runs highest. I love bats and the art of bat making and hopefully soon will get a custom bat made. Currently have a GM noir signature- which is the most expensive bat I've owned and I love it. Which brings me back to GM 2020 launch ,they've announce it on their site for the 8th of October. How can they top the 2019 range?

Getting rid of those funky patterns on the soft goods. Get some class back. I'd like to see the women's size back. I'm not afraid to admit, my favourite pads I've had were the 909womens size from a few years ago. I find the small mens a bit too big in the GM

Yes gazr5 I'm dog legged and use youth pads which saves me money at least just have to make sure the quality remains . I did think most of the bats looked classy maybe not the softs so much . I have a thing for maxium of 2 items from the same make. Thanks SixSixesCricket for some reason it shows _8th on my phone ??

If you Google you may find some USA/North-East/London based retailers which have already got the range on site.

With the retail launch a couple of months beforehand, it's a battle to get top spot on Google on launch day so there are always a few who jump the gun.

No inside info at all, but looking at the newer models and what's in stock on GM's website I would not be surprised to see the Mythos and Neon to go.

You could say they're trying to eclipse the opposition, couldn't you...

They might even raise a siren to let everyone know about the new range!

One thing I like about new GM bats is that they almost got rid of those stupid pronounced oval handles.
Right now, they got it almost like a round handle shape for the bottom hand, which makes them a lot more attractive purchase.

Not sure which GM bat you have but they certainly don’t have a round handle in any shape or form, for me the best handle shape and thickness in the business
