Hello,
Recently moved to Guildford from Hampshire, looking to play cricket around here, Are the standard of the two leagues similar?
Cheers

surrey I would say is slightly stronger. I play for ripley, a couple of miles up the road and you get a lot of really nice local village grounds

Guildford is one of the top clubs in the county.
But like @Warneymonster there are loads of options in the area.
My kids will be at Cranleigh next summer.

Cranleigh is a great club @Buzz I used to love playing there when I was at Kempton in the 2's, good village for a few beers as well.
Depends what level you play at as well in the Guildford area, Ripley isn't the best of clubs but the social scene and colts setup is great. Curry house opposite the group just got voted best in surrey as well

Perhaps give Guildford City a swerve.

As an oppo as well, up there with kingstonians.
I thought guildford city had folded, shame they survived

Shameless rule-benders* at every level! (And I like everyone!)
* that's a euphemism

Depending on the level you play at and the format of game you want to play it is also worth checking out the I’Anson league. Mix of teams from Surrey, Hants and Sussex with a lovely village cricket feel and some very scenic grounds, but pretty competitive in the higher ones. I play at Bramley which is just outside of guildford and furthest I go for a game is 30 mins drive.

There are plenty of teams in the Fuller's League too!
