Title: GM handle stamps
Post by: Kulli on October 31, 2019, 12:49:29 PM
Noticed for the first time that my three GM’s have initials stamped on the knob of the handle. MH and KM from memory. Is this the bat maker/finisher or a date/model thing?

You could be right, iirc I believe one of the batmakers was called Kevin. MH is some bloke from SS I'm not sure of...

Wish if major batmakers also use stock no. imprint (?barcode) similar to Aldred style. Would prevent duplicates to some extent.

Microchips/NFC would be the way forward with a register of the bat to chip.  Easy to copy a stamp to make it look real.
