Noticed for the first time that my three GM’s have initials stamped on the knob of the handle. MH and KM from memory. Is this the bat maker/finisher or a date/model thing?
-
You could be right, iirc I believe one of the batmakers was called Kevin. MH
is some bloke from SS I'm not sure of...

Mark is the main handle fitter
Kevin is the main pod shaver

For those wondering

Wish if major batmakers also use stock no. imprint (?barcode) similar to Aldred style. Would prevent duplicates to some extent.

Microchips/NFC would be the way forward with a register of the bat to chip. Easy to copy a stamp to make it look real.

Any idea who MA is then as now interested as have one MA and one ME?
Looks like Mark gets all the handles then ;-) And I haven't been lucky enough to get one one of Kevins masterpieces yet!
