Title: Ashorne and Moreton Morrell CC - Players wanted for 2020 and beyond

As with many other clubs, we are currently looking to recruit players for the 2020 season and beyond, hoping to build on our success last season where we won the Cotswold hills Div 3 Title. There are a few of us on here that currently play for Ashorne, @19reading87 (our skipper), @Maverick79, @rockymoghal and myself.

We have one Saturday side who play in the Cotswold Hills league where we won our division and looking to back that up with more success in 2020! We also have a Sunday side who play regular fixtures throughout the season and a midweek side (I'm the Vice Captain) who play in a midweek league and friendlies throughout the summer, this last season we made it to finals day but unfortunately gave our place up as we couldn't raise a side! who has finals day on the same day as the world cup final?!?!?!, as with the Saturday side we're looking at going a little better this season coming!

We are located just off the M40 near to Leamington, Warwick and Stratford and our ground is in a great setting and one of the prettiest grounds around (and you get to walk over a bridge on your way out to bat too!). We are a club that is always looking to move forward with a strong emphasis on ensuring everyone enjoys their cricket, no matter the standard or competition. Our indoor nets start soon on the 21st Jan and run to mid-April (ish). There are a few of us who travel a long way to play at Ashorne, one from Birmingham, one form Coventry and myself from Nuneaton

Hmmmm, only a 120 mile trip each way for me.

Would you cover my travel expenses?  ;)

That is a lovely setting for a cricket club.
Love the idea of crossing a brook to get to the pitch.
Mind you, my club is on an island in the River Thames, so there's a few of us who'd get wet if it weren't for bridges.  :D
