That looks very very nice mate!
Hope it scores you loads
-
looks an absolute beauty of a shape. i'll wait for the sale thread ;)
-
I just said 2.9 dead no scuff, mid middle, thick toe and shoulder, thick oval handle oval all the way down, best balance possible.
Exactly what I'd ask for and looks like you got a real lovely stick.
-
Looks a very good stick, so without all the secrecy can I ask who’s it made by? Looks a lovely duckbill, squaring toe shape which is right up my street these days.
-
That handle looks like a Laver. Things that make you go 'hmmmmm'.
-
Nice bat Dan!
I would love to see your other bats as well..
-
I knew I should have kept that one
-
Lovely shape
-
Love that Dan.
-
Reminds me of an SS Master

Great to see you’ve finally found a bat you like. Though you should probably order another so in a few years, when it does finally break, you have a replacement.
Let’s hope there’s plenty of league and friendly runs to follow!
-
No secrecy BS- I don’t know where it was made which is why I say ask @Canners :) I was so fed up trying to find a bat I didn’t ask any questions about every minute detail for the first time in my life :( :D
It is such a quality, no nonsense shape. Nothing that jumps out or screams at you for attention... just feels big, lovely balance and goes all over
Come on then @Canners where can we all get one and how much will it set us back?!
-
don't have to be exact but what sort of price range are we looking at?
-
That’s a great looking bat. I love the duck bill toe, as it guarantees a great pickup regardless of overall weight.
-
Firm believer that you can't properly judge a bat without using it in a match, be interesting to see whether you like it as much outdoors! Looks a nice bit of wood though.
-
See @velvetsky01 this is what I was going on about yesterday!!!
It's the way forward.
I'm only slightly disappointed that @Canners hasn't seemed to offered me this option????
-
Ha thanks @JTtaylor145 I’d have to see one to believe it
@DorsetDan is even fusser than me with his bats so I’m glad he has found something he likes :-)
-
Always ace to find a bat you truly love, but I’m always a bit skeptical of it on here. Been quite a few ‘my perfect bat’s’ that have popped up again in the for sale before the season was out 🤐
-
Not skeptical that you love it now, just that it’ll still be your match bat in late August 😉

How dare you @Kulli! I've never known that happen on here :D In fairness I think it's the 'shiny new stick' effect sometimes, as its always easier to live something you've just paid good money for.
However people then hear hype on others bats on here and their head gets turned as maybe they think it must be better. In truth I think there's very little to choose between batmakers tbh, just find the one you like the look and feel of and stick with it. The longer its used, the better it gets imo.
-
Ha, been there plenty myself. Had a few pre Xmas perfect bats that didn’t make the bag for the first winter nets 🤣
-
Ha ha, yeah my first season back two years ago I think I bought 4 bats and moved them on before getting my BB, which I've kept for two seasons as its a great bat and I realised there wasn't much between the bats I'd bought, so settled on that. Each to their own tho and if buying bats makes you happy, fill your boots!

That's a nice bat hold on is this cricket

Looks a very nice bat that Canners has a good contact or two.

Who the hell is this Newbie?

Been there done that, got the t shirt and the matching softs :D Can’t be arsed to faff around with lots of bats any more. I’ve had the high end and low end of most brands, tried most varieties of everything going on bats and now just want the simple life ;) To find something which actually clicks is a relief more than anything hence the lengthy OP :)
I would actually disagree and say that there is most often quite a distinctive feel to most bat makers and nine times out of ten a bat feels all wrong to me. I’m convinced that the worse you are at batting the more picky you generally are :D
This one has quite a B3 feel to it in how it is balanced and how it is shaped. The other that fits the similar feel, and feel of how it is made, are the 2020 Chase bats oddly- very different to last years shapes and the style of how they are made. That kind of feel seems to be my thing
I'd agree with feel between batmakers, but my comment was more about performance and the often futile chase for that 'magic' bat. Feel and pick up can obviously differ.
Glad you've got one you're happy with mate, hope you score plenty this season!
