I can't ever imagine that happening in England. Do you know anything more about this kid?

i saw him bowl, and yes he was good, but he is so young, and me being 16 myself, if i went and played in a tournament i'd be in awe of everything, so i dont see how they could pick someone so young

He's clearly good enough! Opened the batting aswell! Fielded slip, it wouldn't happen in England...

Wouldn't happen in England because our cricket isn't in crisis. Saying that, if it was, the selectors would probably look the other way for the people that are past it.

Good bowler seemed really mature for his age.. Think he scored a century in the recent U19 World Cup I think he opens or came 1 down..

Adam Ball, aged 16 at Kent just signed a professional contract. He played for the England U19s in New Zealand too. I don't think it would happen in England though, no matter how good the player.

at that level they're all quite strong, it's just that the development slows past that stage, and they don't get as much a) top class coaching, b) high level representation and c) funding to pay for the d) best facilities around!

I hope they dont over exert this guy. Aamir is an example of youngster really firing straight away at a very young age. Management didnt handle him too well and his career almost ended at 16. Thankfully he recovered and hopefully he will serve the team well for a long time.

U19 cricket is played off of raw talent. and at that age everyone is on the same level team wise

I don't think that's true Chaim as the larger playing nations will still have more numbers to choose from. Proof of this is that Australia won the recent U19 World Cup in New Zealand.
