Looking for batting pads with 2 straps.. Not sure which ones to get any suggestions..
-
Bas Bow 20/20, Morrant, SS Millenium, some BDM one to name a few.
-
Get the GM Ravi Bopara's
-
Warsop spindrift
-
Puma Kinetic Range
-
Looking at the Morrant Ultralights (not the expensive one)
Like the look of the BAS Bow 20/20 but they seem to be expensive anyone know if there is a difference between them and the SS ones? SS ones I can get from Onlinestockist for cheap..
-
I've had the cheaper Morrants and the were quite good, but i used to catch them with the bat sometimes on my back leg pad which meant I'd miss the ball. I've since swapped to GM Ravi bopara's which are slightly heavier but a better pad IMO
-
My brother has the morrant ones, i used them for a match and they are great! However, i tried on brand new(not worn in) warsop spindrifts and they were probably more comfortable and maybe a tad lighter tbh.
-
Thanks Will... Gona take a look at that..
Warsop wont ship anything to the US so I'm a bit ticked off at them and won't be purchasing any of their products..
-
Ok mate, do you know why?
-
They said something about their insurance won't cover products shipped to the US or something...
-
Like the GM ones, any good deals out there for them?
-
Puma Flextec??
-
GM's I think are expensive to be honest with you, much better off with an Asian brand on this one.

I've still got my BAS Bow 20/20 pads, if interested

You could get bdm ones off online stockist for a decent price.
-
getting the Morrant ones from a website in the US. www.cricketgear.com he should have them in about 4-5 weeks and they will be between $65-$70 USD really good price for them.. Shipping will only be like $5-$10 for me also since its within the USA. So for about $80 (50gbp) I get the morrant pads shipped to me...
-
The top ones or ones down?
-
those SF pads on the bottom of the page are the same as the morrant ones there. $20 cheaper too..
-
1 downs..

ya spoke to him about those.. he said they aren't as good as the Morrant ones but pretty good value for the money.. According to him SF makes the best softs from the all the major Indian brands.. (Comparing last years softs)
-
A team mate has these and I like them a lot, my short-list includes these ;)
-
you sure hes not comparing the SF ones to the top of the range morrants? pretty sure the ones you're planning to buy are the same except for the branding
edit: either that or hes trying to rip you off :p

I have just bought the Morrant Ultrlite International pads and they are simply amazing. Having used the BAS Bow 20/20, Warsop Spindrifts and the GM RBs, I can very convincingly say that one of these pads come close to the flexibility, lightness, comfort and protection 0f the Morrant Ultralite Internationals.
Cost a fair bit more, but well worth the money....
-
I have a pretty good relationship with him.. he said they are just a notch below the morrants.. he said the finishing and longevity of them are the only 2 differences.. Dunno might just go with Morrant ones cause after all they are known just for their pads they must be doing something different and right.. :D
Hope the extra 20 is worth it.. ;)
-
Have been using the top end Morrants for 3 years now and they are still my favourites. I have cycled through many bats and gloves in the meantime...but only one pair of pads. Top notch!
-
At our club we've got someone with the top Morrants and the one down, I'd love either lol.
-
the top end ones here cost almost 3x as much as 1 down.. have a teammate who has them they are great no doubt.. but i think the cheaper ones will be good enough.. just have a feeling.. unless i find the top end ones for shipped to the US for $150 ish I can consider them..
-
Is there any difference between the AUS Iridium FTX pads and the UK ones??
-
Shouldn't think so, there may be slight cosmetics difference, depends on which country will ship them to US
-
Ordered a set from Kingsgrove much cheaper than any in the UK.. so wondering what the difference that justifies the big price difference..
