Title: Stiffest sole shoe?
Post by: brokenbat on February 26, 2020, 03:32:19 AM
Turns out I might need a super stiff sole shoe for bowling, as my attempts to pivot while bowling spin have overstretched and inflamed the area under my big toe.

Looks like the Adidas Vector bowling shoe and bowling boots from ASICS and NB are the best candidates. Has anyone got experience with either of these? Ideally, would like a shoe that is extremely rigid in the sole but also comfortable enough to wear throughout the fielding session.

Adidas Vectors have historically always been the stiffest sole.

Wouldn't know about any recent Asics offerings as they left the UK and European market a few years ago.

Thanks mate. Is the only difference between the Vector and the Vector MID, the height of the cut... ie sole is same?

Yes the sole is the same. On the 2020 model the Vector Mid has the BOA lace as well which is another key difference from the Vector.

I bought a pair from sports direct of slazenger brand. It was so stiff that I never wore them again. I bought GN and Payntr to use instead.
