looking to buy a supplement that is alot stronger than lucozade? anyone got any idea? cheers
-
Lol Lucozade is possibly the best drink ever! (I like it. A lot) xD
-
lol yer but i dont feel that the powder actually works on me!
-
Wasn't really a helpful post lol sorry.
Never used any kind of supplements and doubt I will. For my level of cricket I have no need. I spose the best place to go when you find a useful supplement would be Holland & Barrett.....
-
would just stick to lucozade, bananas, red bull and get some glucogel . . .other supplements are very very high in sugar and can be harmful if you use them heavily
-
red power ;)
-
just put a lot of red bull down the neck before the game and during ;)
-
i will go and have a look in holland and barrat! need some cus i am just sooo fricking tired atm with coursework and stuff! and then i have cricket till past bed time hours for a school night!
-
Apparently Iron tablets can be pretty good
-
Ca't beat 'Bananagy' - also get your iron levels up with dark green veg and liver.
-
I have a few Lucozades a day let's say lol, I don't seem to be tired even with glandular fever lol.
-
Bacon sarnies, lucozade, ipod and red bull for me :D

Really bad for you! lol

Bananatrons! Erm... You say re-energising? I'm gonna base it on the same thing as work-outs. Carbs before (and during tea i suppose), and then proteins after. Or, alternatively, some sort of milk-based drink, like chocolate milk. But different things work for different people. Maximuscle do a supplement called viper i think? that seems to work for a lot of people.

I find it works well :) I just zone out and collapse after but :)
-
I have abused Red Bull since it came out and have now found myself ill with gall bladder problems from it, not nice at all!!!
-
that sounds very painful!
-
Try waxy maize starch from bulk powders ( google) High grade non sugar based carbo. Vey good, I use it before rugby and have a bottle made up on the boundary for when bowling

maximuscle viper is a good recovery drink but its rather expensive!
-
If you are talking about proteins, then Met-Rx is one of your best bets. Reasonably priced, good quality- not worth the extra for Maximuscle IMO!
-
Another advocate of the viper, use it alot when training and as stated great for energy and recovery, don't drink it if you want to get to sleep in the evenings though!
