No, but a Sri Lankan friend went for a visit there and said the bats were expensive, much more than on mainland India.

Different countries, different prices even though they are so close to each other! A lot of cricket gear is expensive, mostly due to high import taxes. There are a few shops in Colombo if you want to have a browse, one is The Cricket Shop and another I think called The Cricket Store both quick and easy to reach if you are staying somewhere central.

Sure, I wasn't implying it is part of India. Just was surprised that you can't get the same sorts of bargains as in India. Are there any Sri Lankan bat makers?

Cool I'll check those places out. Thanks for the heads up!
Only 500 rupees(around £2) to watch a odi is crazy.
