Im thinking of buying either one of the above for the new season.Who sells Morrant Ultralites in the UK as I cant seem to find any online? Also the CCC ones seem to be a good deal as they are just as light and cheaper.Would like some feedback from members that have used either or both? Anyone selling either brand new or very slightly used? Cheers.P

PM7 regarding ccc cut pads Tom at Ayrtek has the them in
-
Thanks, I did see the Morrant website and was wondering if that was the only option to purchase or are there other retailers? The CCC and Ayrtek look identical just with different labelling, is this correct?.I have seen CCC stuff being cleared on Ebay etc and assume they have gone bust.I have some top gloves and they are excellent quality, only paid £17 when the rrp is £55 alledgedly??

Have a look here.....

I believe they are exactly the same as the morrants...made by the same people...different brand that's all.
Hope it's of help

Morrant Ultralite International pads are THE BEST. I have experimented around with very similar or similar pads from other brands, but the Morrants are in a league of their own.....
Don't waste your money by trying similar pads. Just go and pick-up the Morrant Ultrlite Internationals. You will never have to look further for at least a few years
-
In you opinion that is - subjective thing taste :D
People may be able to save £30-£40 buying another similar product (the range below the Internationals for example) and find them better fitting and more comfortable than the aforementioned pad - personally i found them ill fitting and wouldn't reccomened them, but again - cricket gear is a personal choice - very hard to define what the BEST means :)
-
I agree SS - it is indeed hard to define the best!
Everyone has different tastes, plus the way they fit will feel perfect on some, and not on others.
I personally am in Yash's camp on this one - the Morrant Ultralite Internationals I have had for 3 years now, and they are tough, light as a feather, and more importantly they fit me so well! Even though I have a pair of Newbery SPS pads and a pair of Newbery GT335 pads, the Morrants will always be my main match pads!!
I did have a pair of CCC ones, but they felt the wrong shape for me, so sold them. But a couple of people I know swear by them.
There is nothing wrong with the quality of either - both top notch!! Its only the fit that individual people will prefer one or the other.
-
Blimey some people who actually liked the cut pads can I havetheir names and address please to add them to my Christmas card list :)
-
My cut pads are awesome, best pads I've used.
-
Yep - the quality of mine were excellent....but the shape just didn't suit me. :(
-
Id imagine that the foam based pads would mould to your legs easier than the cane inserts. The CCC ones loook really snug and well fitting and are priced to sell. The Morrants Ultralite are resonable in price but at 85 quid the Internationals have to be absolutely perfect otherwise its a costly mistake! I understand that the CCC pads are incredible value, comfy and offer good protection. Would like to know what anyone who owns them think of the different shape as this seems to be an issue.
-
I've owned and used both and have to admit that there was nothing wrong on design or usage but preferred the look of the traditional pad.
-
i too have owned and used both. nothing wrong with design at all,
i prefered the canterbury pads purely because i felt they were comfier.
-
From what i've seen of the ayrtek ones (cut pads) they seem really good, comfy and are in fact better looking on than they are in most pics.....just not for me tbh style wise.
-
yvk3103 . How tall are you as as i see they do two sizes in the Morrant international
-
Im still in the market for Morrants or Canterbury Pads, Mens large.
Let me know if anyone has either for sale, slightly used or brand new.
Cheers, P

Can sort u out a pair of the CCC pads will be brand new and under the Ayrtek brand as we designed them!
-
Thanks mate, I know you did and they are fab but I have CCC gloves and would like matching CCC pads....or Morrants!
