Title: Advice on Garrard and Flack pin knot
Post by: rosskettle720 on April 12, 2020, 07:52:38 PM
Hi guys

I was just wondering if anyone could give me some advice on bat 1 here: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Garrard-and-Flack-Sub-Cricket-Bats/184215202130 (https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Garrard-and-Flack-Sub-Cricket-Bats/184215202130)

In what way (if any) would the pin knots affect the performance of the bat?

Thanks

Bat 1 appears to have knots only on the rear, so probably no effect at all. Can't tell what the grains are like from the pictures, possibly nice 5 grain bat face

Not at all. However, there maybe better (looking and with stickers) Garrard and flack bats on ebay at the moment.
I have a Garrard and flack butterfly and I’ve been impressed by it. Plus I only paid about £60 quid for it

Doesn’t look like a butterfly but this would be a good bet. So long as the weight doesn’t put you off. Like mine, this has a fairly high middle.

Seller is on this forum and I’ve had a few bats off of him. Highly recommend.

I've seen a few of these bats in person.

They are very good value for the money and Ed is a decent bloke to deal with. The bats don't necessarily look fantastic but the performance in the vast majority of cases is very good.

Thanks
