Title: Gray-Nicolls Kronus Halestorm
Post by: AlanB on April 19, 2020, 04:39:34 PM: Some photographs of a recently acquired Gray-Nicolls Kronus Halestorm. This was sourced from their eBay clearance, opting for the lowest weight available and with a cheeky extra 5% from eBay, resulted in a price of £237.50 delivered. I was expecting that it wouldn't fit through a bat gauge - proved correct! With G-N permitting hand-picking, wasn't expected the best cosmetically from the last of their stock, more than happy based on the price paid and the sheer volume of it. Haven't tried it for performance yet, nor knocked it in. Have oiled the bat, indoor later afternoon light has rendered it a little darker than it is, there is a strip of heartwood on right handers outside edge. Pick up is decent given the weight and size.

Yes, sports-bay-clearance, which is G-N using eBay to clear their stock.

It wasn't purchased under the G-N 50% off Kronus range promotion.

Does this have like a double edge with some wood taken out the back

Purchased this on 21 February, it was listed as 2lb 15oz, there were some a little heavier remaining. Evidently not many though and yes have all gone now.

I am sorely tempted by a Kronus in the Ebay clearance shop. Lovely looking bats in general, but yours looks fabulous. I didn't realise how large 20 pence pieces were until I saw your photo of two on the edge, then measured! Wow.

Will this be your main match bat, or reserved for T20 games?
Look forward to a review when you can use it in anger.
