Title: Another controversial thread........
Post by: Canners on May 27, 2020, 10:18:40 AM

I have just received a stunning TK LAM, grainy AF and massive. However it has had weight removed from county as originally was a 50mm edge 3lber and the job done on reducing the weight is awful...... like really bad

Will be going to the best maker in the UK to sort at some point 😀

What is the worst piece of craftmanship any of you guys have seen

Cant say I've had a really bad bat or workman ship as been particular about bats..

Worst bat I can think of is a fake MRF bat my uncle (who knows nothing about cricket) bought for my brother.

Awful Kashmir willow that had been bleached. Awful stickers which had the 'Brine' Lara edition spelling...

I went to Nixon once for a weight reduction. It was a 3lb 6oz M&H.  He said he wouldn't do any concaving cos he didn't have the tools just took it down with a draw knife.
It wasn't a bad bit of craftsmanship but defo wasn't what i wanted.

The guy at romida hacked at a lovely puma I bought to take weight off it. Glorious bat. Ruined.
