Hi guys so recently I stumbled upon a brand new bat for just €3. The stickers say English Willow but I mean that can be a whole lot. What do you guys think, which willow is it?

The maker is Vinex, an indian manufacturer.

That is kashmir willow or English willow*
*nurtured in india

Ah yeah that makes sense. Indian nurtured english willow... thing weighs 2.13 but sure doesn't feel like kashmir willow. The first net was alright with it. I'll give it some more exposure.

Kashmir willow and English willow nurtured in India are the same.

What is the technical difference between English willow "nurtured" in England v/s others? Different (lighter) density? pore structure?

Only English willow is grown specifically for cricket bats.
A Kashmir willow tree can quite conceivably be felled, cut up and then see some of the same tree made into bats and some of it made into furniture
Then there’s erratic growth conditions due to the climate and also the lack of moisture due to the climate which makes it less suited to cricket bats than English willow
This bat is Kashmir’s willow in my opinion, there’s no question or room for doubt.
