I only ask because the new asics look amazing (Aus/India only) which means we are paying circa £125 for them.
Getting trainers spiked costs in the region of £80 (shoes plus spiking plus postage). Or £140 for some gun ones from India...
You can get the top New Balance spikes for about £80
Or some gm/gn etc for less.
Or some slaz onss for about £30.

Given how long we spend on our feet, my view is it’s worth the price if it’s a shoe that’s is perfect for you. The problem here is that you’ll have to buy it blind and have it sent to you. So it’s a bit of a gamble unfortunately.

Some like and others don’t but Iv found my Payntr spikes superbly comfortably and I picked up a pair from the sale section on there website for about £35so if you can find a colour way and size that you like you may find a bargain from them.
But about £80 is the most Iv ever spent and never had any complaints. See a lot of players wearing GN spikes which are about £59 so they seem a decent mid to lower price point that seem to make a decent spike

I think it is about finding the perfect boot/shoe for yourself and what fits you best and also good quality comes into it, I recently bought the Adidas ones with the BOA on them costing £115 ish off the top of my head, first Time I wore them I got a couple of typical blisters, but now especially with my history of ankle problems I can’t rate them any higher!!

My old kookaburra ones from sports direct were perfectly comfortable for my wide feet and I would get another pair had I not gone to the Asics outlet store in Street. My current Asics are great but don’t make me run any faster or score me any more runs. I’m sufficiently confident not to worry about what other people think of me or what I wear so perhaps I comfort and quality can be achieved at a much more reasonable price?

You are all right.

Asics cricket spikes quality and comfort worth every penny and will do the job.

My Aus market ASICS from a couple of years ago are the best I’ve worn
I was saddened when ASICS withdrew from cricket in the UK.

Same here. Also I saw GCCC mentioning that Asics cannot be shipped outside Aus due to contract restrictions, so can't really buy from there either. Sad such a wonderful product is so hard to get.

Scour eBay and hope for a bargain. I got a brand new pair of the green NB CK10 for £40 earlier this year.
That said I do wish I'd got Asics whilst in Aussie

I’m back to wearing asics this season, after a couple of seasons wearing Adidas boosts,,,it almost feels like I’m cheating wearing the asics, supremely comfortable, very light,,,and no issues with grip, which has definitely helped both my batting and bowling.
Ridiculous they can’t be purchased over here

Always fancied a pair of Ascis but I've always been put off by not being able to try them on first.
What is the equivalent of adidas size 11 and wasn't there something about the spike size being hard to replace?

About the "spike size being harder to replace" - that was an issue with older strike rate model which had its own different spike type that was difficult to get. But now the strike rate is using the standard spikes as with the other models, so that should not be a problem anymore IMO
