Sad news
One day cricket champion. Have memories of his aggressive batting in one day cricket.

Devastating news.
Watched the video of the England 1986-1987 tour 'On Top Down Under' till it broke. Plenty of memories of Dean Jones batting. Was ahead of his time in the one day game. Possibly hard done by Australia and could have played for longer.
Very sad news :(

As a kid, I was always fascinated by the zinc cream on his lips and wondered why this guy is scoring so quick for that era. Classic player, and may arguably the first T20 style batsman of the 80s

Terrible news :o :o :o :( :(
Surely was loved everywhere and by everyone.. tributes on twitter:

This is so sad! He was a sensational batsman to watch. Marnus Labuschagne reminds me of Dean Jones. RIP Deano!

Sad news. When he was in his prime he played league cricket for a club only a couple of miles from me and scored heaps! Went to watch him a few times and others who played exhibition games there.

Sad news, great player and made commentary enjoyable. Entertainer in everything he did and jovial person , gonna really miss him. RIP Mr. Deano, god bless you!

A mate is Aus played against him in the 80's.
Deano also gave specialist coaching clinics for his club. Says he was 100% genuine guy, 200% passionate.
