So I have wanted new spikes for a while and I have seen the new asics in Australia and was jealous.
Plus Kane Williamson has got a new pair of these too.
Anyway I paid some silver and this is what I received...

love them, did you have to order from Oz?
-
Absolutely lovely them!
Any issues in getting them over here?
-
These didn't come from Aus, no, it was cheaper to get them from India. But as always if you order from India you are taking a risk. In this case I found a supplier who sold the Ayrtek "#prosintheknow" sweatband so hoped they would be reliable.
These weren't the cheap option, I could have got the new balance shoes for almost half the price including postage.
But doing that is boring... 😂
-
Hugely jealous. Why do Asics have to not only withdraw from the UK but also step their game up!
-
Lovely, is this the same range as available in Aus?
Might be time to get some new wheels, my Asics ODI's from Aus are now a couple of years old.
-
Awesome shoes!
-
They look so good
-
Green
-
Glad you took the plunge @Buzz , they look great!
-
Thanks all, these are the most expensive trainers I have ever bought!
Was going to say shoes, but then I forgot I used to have to go to work in London!
-
Simply the best cricket shoes. My strike rates are still going strong after 6 years. Why on earth would Asics not continue selling in the U.K.?

Agree. One more thing i observed is that asics india site doesn't list cricket anymore unlike last time i checked. So i am guessing they will stop the cricket shoes in India as well. Only Aus asic site has them listed now, not sure how long even that ll remain.

Def getting our overseas to bring some over for me in the new year

Are they allowed? Overseas not asics spikes
-
So the list of 'not available in' comprises 3 major cricketing nations UK, SA and India ... I'd say they are withdrawing from this segment?
Never seen many top players wearing Asics except for the 'unspectacular great' types like Williamson and Amla. (sadly!) I doubt there are many kids running around wanting to be like those players and hence I doubt the shoe sales are as high as for whatever ABD, Kholi et al types are seen in.
Asics also used to (cannot comment recently) make life difficult with spikes that were not interchangeable with most other brands i.e. hard to replace.
-
In the IPL loads of players are wearing spiked up asics from Ahura Sports in india. A snip at £140 posted to the UK.
These were cheaper than that...
-
Love the look of these @Buzz ! How is the fit like? And how is the width of the shoe, particularly around the arch? (Have flat feet and wear orthotics, so like spikes to be quite wide around that part)

Hi, to be honest I haven't worn them, other to try them on. But they are a standard Asics fit, and wider/a better fit than my adidas boots.
-
My asics are on the way out after four years, reckon I've found their replacements!
-
I fully expect to be able to field like this next summer

So... I would like some new wheels.
Where did you get these wonderful shoes from? @Buzz (Pm if easier)
-
Just got myself a pair, well worth the money.
thanks @Ayrtek Cricket

That is largely what I paid to get them imported from India.
-
I’ve got those Asics half spikes. They are super light and comfy, best spikes I’ve had for batting in.

Just on the Asics, I emailed their customer service team earlier in the week because I wanted to understand why they don't sell cricket or golf shoes in Europe, below their answer... It would be good if a number of us started emailing asking for Cricket shoes to return. (and golf shoes please).
Lets tell them about the demand...
Thank you for your message and your interest in ASICS.
Unfortunately, we do not have cricket and golf shoes for sale in Europe at present and are unable to import any from other ASICS business areas due to internal sales regulations. Our apologies for the inconvenience caused, and your request is noted in order notify our product team about the level of demand for the product.
At ASICS we are always listening to our consumers and where possible we always aim to improve. Your request is no different and thanks to your feedback, the possibility of this item becoming available in the future is increased.
We thank you for your understanding and hope you have a great day!

Lorimers have these. They are on Ebay.

Need to sell some more bats (or helmets) to buy a pair of these
-
Yeh I got stung picking up the cost of a couple of pairs for the Ireland captain too!
-
i remember a certain pro at the old place who did the same
-
Would you recommend these instead of Nike or adidas guys?
-
Nike cricket shoes have an unusual last so they either work for you or they don't.
Adidas shoes are great, you just need to order half a size up.
Try them on.
With the asics it is more of a gamble as they are harder to get hold of.
I have both and like both equally.
