Title: Bat wax
Post by: Yorkershire on December 27, 2020, 06:01:17 PM
Okay not sure if this is the best place for this.

Ages ago bought some beeswax and some tins with the intention of making some bat wax. So I think I'm finally getting around to it.

Anyone done this? Any tips formulas?
Thanks in advance.

Just made some a couple of days ago. Turned out to fairly easy.

Boil water in any container
Put beeswax in a glass jar and put the jar in boiling water
Once melted, add linseed oil and mix quickly (Sets very quickly)

I used 60% oil and 40% Beeswax apprx.

There are some good videos/articles around. Here is one below from Cricket Bat Info
