Title: Getting Soft Whites
Post by: FattusCattus on December 27, 2020, 11:23:07 PM
Okay - this has been bothering me for some time.

Can anyone confirm the right wash protocol for their whites?

I;ve been washing mine for some time, and they still feel stiff and firm after a wash. I struggle with the crotch area on my trousers and the shoulders of my tops - it's putting me off both bowling and batting, with stiff areas causing quite a bit of irritation. I'm considering just not washing them at all.

Probably the material used for manufacturing, more than incorrect washing regime. What whites are you using?

Thank you - will try some of these tips out on the three loads of kit washed in my house. Nothing more annoying than washing trousers and still stained. Also have issue that my horizon socks shrink (washed on low temp) and become quite rigid

I soak my whites in soda crystals overnight. Put them in the wash and they come out sparkling...starch your shirt if you really want to look the business lol
