Which one would you use if these are the 2 bats you can use? Thanks
They both are 2lb 9oz, they both pickup very nicely.

Whichever one performed better!

Mega used once, seems to be a cannon, Kronus unused but fully knocked in, feels to be a cannon.

What do you mean by cannon? - it feels like a subjective term, please could you clarify for me

Thanks

Balls flies off

Would you say older balls or newer balls fly further?
Would they suit both right handers and left handers equally?
If the handles are different size do they really both “feel”  2lb 9oz?

Sorry to ask so many questions but I really want to choose the right bat

Thanks again.

You're right to ask as you're the one to use it
Mega has lightest pickup due to high middle and it's design.
Kronus has mid middle with a lot of wood till it's toe, picks up nicely due to it's groove design and feels more powerful than Mega
دے both feel their weight but Mega feels lighter due to higher middle

If they are both Cannons - I'd go with the pick-up - which one feels nicest in your hands.

For me that is likely to be the one with a thicker handle, but your preference may be different.

They both feel really good, then? Which one would you take?

What’s the match situation?

What type of bowler?

Overhead conditions?

Still waiting for the RH v LH suitability and old balls v new balls.

Sorry to be a pest but you’ve posed the question.

Thanks, in hope of greater clarity.

The best looking one, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Your bats. Your choice.

Still waiting... I’m not sure you are taking this as seriously as I am.

You’ve asked a fair & balanced question that you want me to spend my time answering & I need help with the variables.

Call me a cynic but I’m beginning to think that posting a selection of bat photos clearly from eBay might have been some kind of clever ruse or marketing ploy... not a genuine plea to the cricket bat community for wisdom  and insight

Hi T2ylo, you've choice out of 2 contrasting bats, you're to chose which one is more suitable in all weather conditions, to your playing style; higher middle or mid middle? One with more wood around its splice which is clean white willow or the one with more willow towards it's toe and has butterfly stain and water marks in it's playing area? Both are 2lb 9oz, thanks

You can only choose one, Tom.
None of them will get you much cash, you'll be paying most of it out of your pocket 🙂

There is no such thing as “all weather conditions” please elaborate

My “playing style”
adapts to game situation again please give greater context.

Are the slow bowlers on? Is it swinging? Have we had a bit of rain?
Is there a difference in bat performance when factoring in dexterity of batsman?

None of these variables have been established.
Come on AJ you are going to have to put a little more effort in here for the answer you crave.

Thanks in advance for your diligence

Is it me or is this a very strange topic?

You have two good bats that both go very well. Why are you having to choose? Just keep them both.

You'll end up using the one that you score runs with. If you score a 50 you will keep going with that until you get a low score and then probably change to the other one.

Or you can be a strange bat badger like the rest of us and score runs with a bat and for no apparent reason change it the following week because the handle just didn't seem right with the 12th pair of gloves you picked it up with in the garage the evening before the match.

Two good bats, keep them, enjoy them and why start a topic?

What would have been really interesting would be a comprehensive review of both bats in which you showed copious photo's of every single angle/profile. You could explain pick up with and without gloves. You could tap the bat up with new, old, 20 over, 40 over, 50 over and test match used balls.

But thanks for at least posting about lovely bats.

Strange topic though  :(

Thank you T2ylo
Weather is clear: very pleasant, sun shine, no sign of rain
Your team is batting 1st
Off spin from one end, just to start his spell and medium pacer from other end, bowling his 10th over, his figures 2 for 24, score 55/3 in 19 overs.
You went in at 3 and are batting on 16 off 29 balls.
No difference bats performance regardless right or left handed users.

Thanks JT, you're always kind
I'm not choosing it, just wanted to know how you'll go about if you'd a choice of one of these

That’s my level of detail, thank you.

Alas I’d never be 16 off 29 so I’m going to withdraw from the discussion as my perspective would be of no help to your study.

This can get two pages of views thoughts and comments but the new bat makers can get no feedback or views on what they are producing, questions asked or Input given.

I settled on a shape after trying many bats of different shapes. Generally that shape works well for my batting style. So, shape is the most important criterion for me. After that I look at  weight followed by ping when netting.  Based on my method, I'd pick Mega because it is used and it has met the criteria of shape, weight, and ping. Kronus might be great but it is untested in nets.

I pick Mega. :)

Just want to see which one of these bats you will choose for your self, not for me, if these are the only choice, both being 2lb 9oz, totally different profile bats with contrasting willow, didn't think it was that hard

You'll be surprised how light it feels and it's ping, think I read someone saying that one pro liked think white grains, this bat is exactly that 🙂

Well, YKK are the market leaders but I like to buy British, so Zipex would be my choice. Only good for top order batsmen though, middle order players need to look elsewhere.

Yes T2ylo, I think/feel, it's more suited to my style and I like him more than Mega, even though Mega is really top bar! Actually I bought 3 Mega bats after this mega, thinking they'll be like this one but they're were not, sold them!
It took me like 4 weeks to get used to it, to the point I am happier with it; toe off etc,
Now I've bought another Kronus😀 which was the last one available, thinking that, it will be like this one, madness man, honestly! Does it make sense?

It's handle is thin, I couldn't make out of it, balance wise.
