I’m after some advice please.
What’s the best think to do with this?

Tape it up and use it until it falls apart! Believe it's a stress fracture.
One of the batmakers will say if it's repairable or not, however I'm not sure you can put a dowel or anything in there to strengthen the shoulders. Had this on a Newbery which was a year old, took it back to Robertsbridge, Tim just said it shouldn't do that and let pick another one. He didn't even mention trying to fix it.

I think @procricket had his repaired by GN - they replaced the lugs on his Taylor bat. Might be worth asking @thebigginge to see if he can do anything about it!

I fixed something similar on an old Newbery for a mate, plenty of glue and a couple of layers of fibreglass tape around the splice area. It's not a long term solution and I think you'd still be worried about a ball clipping the shoulder but his bat has held up okay against medium paced dibbly dobbly bowling for a year or so now.

Handle is too tight and it needs replacing and then the shoulders can be glued while the handle is out.
I'd be tempted to send it back to GM, especially if it was new.

@tylo , I don't think it is repairable. You may find some temporary solutions but this will break.

That Needs a rehandle tbh mate.
Have dealt with those cracks a lot and it’s near impossible to repair them properly without removing the handle - you just don’t know how far into the splice they go etc.

My first thought was handle was too tightly fitted, which I have never seen before on a GM.
I’m not sure it’s worth replacing the handle, the best fix, as it’s a 909 and 2/3 seasons old.
I’ll strip it back and post a few more pics but the cracks aren’t big enough to get a decent amount of glue in.

this can happen on bats, sometimes the handle can be fitted a little tight and other times its just wear and tear.
Can it be fixed? YES it can, it will need a re-handle however as the pressure will need to be removed to allow glue into it.
If you dont want it to be repaired properly you could jsut find a really low viscosity super glue, put some on an let it sink in, keep building it up until the superglue no longer falls into the crack.
